The Old Prague Restaurant is nestled in the heart of the Harbourtown district in Downtown Vermilion, Ohio. Located at 5586 Liberty Avenue, The Old Prague Restaurant is the "Original" Czech restaurant. We have been doing business here since 1967. Come in for casual family dining that combines "Old World" comfort foods with contemporary cuisine. Roast duck, sweet and sour kraut, bohemian dumplings, spaetzles, and weiner schnitzel, are just a few of the "Old World" specialties! We also serve fresh, local, Lake Erie Perch. After emigrating from Czechoslovakia to the US in the late 60’s, Vera took over the restaurant and implemented her own families recipes now being proudly followed and cooked by her son Michael. Vera put the restaurant on the map by receiving multiple awards over the years for unique dishes as well as European ambience and service. Vera now lives half the year in Arizona enjoying the fresh air and sun. The other half she is here in Ohio helping raise her grandson Kazimir, and helping Michael in the restaurant and bar. Her son Michael has maintained and stayed true to the cuisine and the roots of the restaurant.
